Referrals for June 2006 cover LID's 6/16/05 - 6/28/05!

.
The CCAA has updated their website today. Referrals for June 2006 cover LID's 6/16/05 - 6/28/05!

Congratulations Margie on receiving your referral (LID 6/27/05)!!!

It's nice to have Referrals cover more than the 5 days that had been the case lately.

Also, they have gotten through LID 10/31/05 for reviewing the documents.

Here are the exact quotes from the CCAA Website:

"The CCAA has finished the review of the adoption application documents registered with our office before October 31, 2005."

"The CCAA has finished the placement of children for the families whose adoption application documents were registered with our office before June 28, 2005."

CCAA exactly 1 year behind on referrals

.

Today, 6/15/06, the CCAA is now exactly 1 year behind on referrals. The CCAA has finished the placement of children with families who had their documents logged in up to 6/15/05.

As mentioned, at this pace, I won't receive my referral until around September 2009. Here are some EXAMPLES of how the current pace could work out to the 9/09 referral:

4 Months Since DTC

6/10/06 - Today is 4 months since I was DTC.

Time To Ease Up on the Shopping

.
Since I had gone so crazy with my purchases, and since the wait time could be years before I bring McKenna home, I'm going to try to ease up on the shopping.

Here are some things that I would like to buy, but will hold off for now...

A Little Overboard on the Purchases

.
Here are a few more great finds from Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Borders, Pottery Barn Kids, Old Navy, and Ross. Plus, I went a little overboard with the Halloween costumes... :-)

Ladybug Lamp

.

I had ordered this Ladybug Lamp, from the JC Penney catalog, on February 16th, and it finally arrived on June 1st! :-)

Cutest Little Rocking Chair

.
I found the cutest little rocking chair for 50% off at a children's store warehouse sale.

Retail Therapy - Re-sale shops

.
I have found some great bargains at some shops that sell used clothing:

Purchases - The Basics

.
A few months ago, I took a week off of work and went a little crazy on Amazon, e-Bay, and at Babies "R" Us:

Thank You Lisa and Hattie!!!

.
Lisa and Hattie were the guest speakers at the very first Holt International Adoption Information meeting that I went to on March 8, 2005.

Lisa had just brought Hattie home from China a few months earlier. Lisa spoke so positively about her adoption experience with Holt. Lisa and Hattie have been my inspiration ever since!

I'm so glad I have developed a friendship with them! Lisa has been kind enough to donate some things that Hattie has outgrown. Thank You Lisa and Hattie!!!
