Oops!! I Did It Again! I went WAY OVERBOARD on the clothes shopping! The first 2 garments pictured are used clothing from a little consignment shop, in an old house, near Kelli's. The other clothes are also used, from a huge consignment sale, in my area, called "Pass It On". The last shirt I bought new at our local department store for 40% off on clearance.

Good News!

On Friday 10/27, my workplace announced the new upgrades to our Benefits (Medical, Dental, etc.) package for 2007. The Adoption Reimbursement has been increased from $3,000 to $5,000!

Fantastic Feb 2006 DTC Secret Pal Strikes Again!

My Fantastic Feb 2006 DTC Secret Pal has struck again!!! She is amazing! How did she know I was “Cooking Challenged”???!!! The October gifts are awesome! The package was so heavy (so expensive to mail)!!! I received the package in good order on 10/24.

I really love Rachael Ray and I aspire to be like her! Her cookbook is exactly what I would’ve bought for myself in my quest to learn my way around the kitchen. I also love the pumpkin cookie kit, the candles, the little haunted house, the socks, the towel, the hair scrunchies, the chocolates in the cute little pumpkin “take-out” carton, and Poopsie (Sasha) loves her Whiskas Temptations!

You always go way above and beyond the expectations for the Secret Pal Exchange!

Ladybug Sightings!

This was really strange, in a good way! Today, I was walking back home from the store and a ladybug landed on my arm, and stayed there, as I walked, for about 3 minutes! I was about 1 mile from home.

Then, a little later, I was home and happened to look out my window, and at least 10 ladybugs were swarming outside and landing on the window!

To top it off, about an hour later, I was walking to the mailbox, and happened to go inside an Open House (the house was For Sale) in my neighborhood. What pattern did the doormat have? Pictures of Ladybugs, of course!

3 "Ladybug Sightings" in 1 day! I just had to post, in case 10/22/06 turns out to be a significant day in McKenna's life.

Thank You to my March 2006 DTC Secret Pal for September's gifts! It was so much fun to pull each gift out of the bag, wondering what each surprise would be! I especially love the cute little yellow butterfly that plays "Rock-a-Bye Baby". (I included a 2nd picture that shows the butterfly's cheeks lighting up, as it plays "Rock-a-Bye Baby". So cute!)
